At the turn of the 20th century Hermann and Meta Dreyer were among a wave of German immigrants to settle in Oceanside, California. Undertaking a new life in farming, they began a legacy which has spanned three generations.

In 1952 the Dreyer family migrated from Southern California to California’s agricultural mecca, the San Joaquin Valley, cultivating olives, treefruit, and grapes. Eventually settling in Woodside and in Sonoma Valley’s Glen Ellen, the family focused on winemaking. Jonathan Dreyer, youngest son and third generation winemaker, continues the family tradition and manages the family wine business today.

Dreyer Family Wines now encompasses five brands available at fine retailers, restaurants, and on our website.
