The Solitude brand originated with master winemaker Richard Litsch. Richard knew that the key to quality wine was with the use of quality grapes. The Dreyer Family has continued the tradition and method for making quality wine for Solitude. The Chardonnay exhibits layers of oak complementing the tropical fruit flavors from the Napa Valley appellation. The Solitude Chardonnay style is one of a French Burgundy, with concentrated fruit notes and balanced acidity.
